Dead Worlds: Undead Stories Available

Stopped by Living Dead Press this morning to learn that the zombie anthology Dead Worlds: Undead Stories featuring my story "Fortunato's Ghost" is now available for purchase on Amazon.Com. Click the cover photo on the right and pick up your copy today!

I've yet to hear about the 100-worder I sent off to Necrotic Tissue. To be honest, I think the idea is interesting, but I'm not sure I pulled it off. I am determined (if not this one, then at some point) to write a 100-worder that blows them away. I've enjoyed the challenge the 100-word constraint puts upon you. I'll get it right sooner or later!

Saw in the latest Expressions newsletter from Sam's Dot Publishing that the InfraDEAD anthology has been pushed back to June. Last I heard, my story "Adamson's Rock" was still on the shortlist. Time will tell.

Got a couple of other submissions out there and am sitting on a dozen half-finished stories, none of which appear to be going anywhere. I remain confident that inspiration, coupled with perspiration, will make all things right!

Thanks so much, Catherine. Truly means a lot coming from you.

I continue (as always) to lurk and enjoy your own blog.

Woot! Poor Fortunato...is this a reference to the Fortunato from "A Cask of Amontillado"?

Absolutely is, Aaron, and thanks for stopping by! Look forward to reading your story as well.

Yeah, the title started out as an allusion to the locale where the story takes place (the Boston Harbor Islands), but upon reflection I think it also sums up my protagonist's journey. Toward the end, I suspect he'd gladly change places with the drunken lout.
