WOTF HONORABLE MENTION

I'm delighted and humbled to report my story "Adamson's Rock" has received an Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future contest. Link to the first set of Honorable Mentions for this quarter here.

The story concerns a close-knit New England family coming to terms with the end of the world.

Given the controversy surrounding Mr. Hubbard, I confess to being somewhat leery of submitting to this market. But research revealed the contest was created to showcase and acknowledge new writers in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres and -- depending on who you listen to -- there is no connection between the Church and the contest. In addition, the contest is judged by some of the best known and most well regarded writers in the field.

At any rate, time to find a permanent home for "Adamson's Rock." I'll keep you posted!
